Diagnoses Treated
Our therapists will perform a thorough evaluation of your condition at your first visit. We will perform a battery of clinical tests coupled with your description of your problem to develop a physical therapy diagnosis. We must determine if you are an appropriate patient for our office or need to be referred to a more appropriate practitioner, such as a physician or other specialist.
At your first visit we will explain the mechanics of your disorder and how our PT intervention will be helpful. We review, in detail, your current exercise or activity routine and make any necessary recommendations. You will receive exercise, stretching, posture, or activity instructions during your first visit.
Musculoskeletal disorders that can be managed by a physical therapist include:
Pre/Post-operative rehabilitation, including shoulder, back and knee surgeries
Chronic pain issues like neck, back, hip and sciatica pain
Overuse injuries & tendonitis associated with repetitive work/sports activities
Foot and ankle pain and dysfunction, runner's difficulties
Upper back & postural disorders; work station & ergonomic evaluation
Arthritis conditions and total joint replacement pre/post-op rehabilitation
Shoulder pain and impingement issues
Each patient's whole-body condition and activity will be assessed and recommendations are made as part of your therapy. We believe cardiovascular, recreational and personal health contribute to your health and success.
